Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

• Agree on the individual policies of the organization
• Set policies on items that affect cycling
• Work with the member base to establish official strategic policies
• Work with the board to adopt policies
• Write and promote the policies of Cycle.

Requirements

• Ability to understand statistics and legal documents
• Ability to work online and use tools allowing virtual presence
• Able to ‘sell’ the adopted policies internally
• Willing to get involved
• Some typing and document writing abilities would help

Preferred Skills

• Strong communication skills
• Able to work with others
• Controlled debating

Additional Notes

The Policy committee will work to develop and implement the policies under which Cycle will operate for both its day to day operations but also for short term projects as these may arise.

This committee will work with both the member base and external stakeholders to create the necessary policies that are required.
